Executive Council met today with only one item on the Closed Agenda. This related to an SHG Guarantee for additional borrowing of £500,000 from the Bank of Saint Helena in relation to Saint Helena Hotel Development Ltd. Council agreed to further support the Hotel development. The agreement of Legislative Council is required and this item will be presented at the next formal meeting of Legislative Council scheduled to take place on Thursday, 25 January 2018.
HE the Governor advised Executive Council that she had agreed to give directions that Friday, 9 February 2018, shall be observed as a Public Holiday to celebrate the occasion of the final scheduled voyage of the RMS St Helena from the Island.
