Corporate IT ensures the implementation, maintenance and management of IT systems that help drive effectives and efficiency across all portfolios within St Helena Government. This involves providing daily IT support to all SHG staff, as well as the installation of new software and hardware when necessary. The many IT systems that are supported and maintained by Corporate IT are very diverse and ever evolving, due to the continuous advances in technology.
Some of the other principle duties performed by Corporate IT include:
- Design, installation & maintenance of SHG networks
- Windows Desktop support
- Building and configuration of Windows server environments
- Support for bespoke systems such as Azeuscare, Patient Source, Access Dimensions & Asycuda
- Technical support for generic and specialised hardware based systems
- Ensuring SHG IT Systems are hardened against cyber attacks
- Provision of cyber security awareness training
