Diabetes Awareness Week 2023 – Event Information

The public warning system in both Upper Rupert’s and Lower Rupert’s worked as expected, today’s test revealed an issue with the public warning system in Jamestown. This is now being investigated to establish what has caused the error.

Visa And Mastercard Merchant Services Now Available To St Helena

b=Businesses on St Helena can now apply directly to Ryft Pay to be able to accept Visa and Mastercard payments from customers. The funds from Visa and Mastercard payments can be deposited into a business’ Bank of St Helena (BOSH) account or UK bank account. To express an interest in the services that Ryft Pay offers, and to begin the application process, businesses should contact Ryft Pay directly at support@ryftpay.com.

Minimum Wage To Increase From 01 July 2023

On 1 July 2023, the Minimum Wage will increase. It will rise from £3.37 per hour to £3.65 per hour for an adult aged 18 and above, and from £2.42 per hour to £2.70 per hour for those aged 16 and 17 years old.
