The Infrastructure Department consists of three sections; Property; Roads, Buildings Maintenance and Rockfall Protection, and Projects.
The Infrastructure Section’s focus is to manage, maintain and develop the Crown’s natural and built assets in a sustainable way to support the people of the Island and to improve the standard of living and quality of life.
The Property Section deals with the management of all Crown properties which includes Social Housing, Lands Registration and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
Rockfall, Roads and Building Maintenance includes the maintenance of Crown properties.
A new section, Project Management Office (PMO), has been created through a prioritised review of Strategic Projects and Project Management. It includes Technical Services and the Economic Development Investment Programme (EDIP) and will oversee other projects implemented across St Helena Government.
The Section continues to contribute towards the Portfolio’s priorities to develop and maintain the Island’s physical infrastructure and to stimulate sustainable economic development and social development.
