HM Customs & Excise would like to remind the public that there are certain prohibitions and controls in place for the exportation of goods from St Helena.
Any article made in or imported into St Helena before 1 January 1910, or any part of such an article, cannot be exported from St Helena without the prior written approval of the Governor-in-Council.
All other goods and items produced in and exported from St Helena are currently tax free, but must be declared to HM Customs.
There are also prohibitions on exports to certain countries. If in any doubt, please contact Customs on e-mail: Jon.holland@hmrc.gov.sh or customsmanager@hmrc.gov.sh or by telephone:
(00 290) 22287
HM Customs thanks you for your co-operation and support in this matter.
