EXCO REPORT – Tuesday 16 February 2016

Executive Council met today, Tuesday 16 February 2016, to discuss one item on the Open Agenda.

Council was asked to approve the Aviation Amendment Bill, for publication, consultation and subsequent presentation to formal Legislative Council on Friday 18 March 2016.  The majority of the amendments in the Bill simply extend existing arrangements to airport operations.  Executive Council approved the Bill.

There was also a discussion on social housing about the provision of land for those who wish to build.  It was agreed that the infrastructure plan for the Comprehensive Development Area at Bottom Woods should be taken forward immediately with a view to making plots of land available for building.

Members also wished Councillor Lawson Henry well on his attendance with Assistant Financial Secretary Dax Richards at the annual EU OCT Forum to be held in Brussells, from 24 to 26 February 2016.
