EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISABLED PEOPLE

BEGINNING THE POSITIVE CHANGE

The Safeguarding Directorate has been working on a programme to allow more people with additional needs to have access to employment experiences. The directorate has recently employed three people and have provided employment experiences to a further two people, including one placement within Education.

Manager, Adults Social Care Team, Paul Bridgewater, said:

“In the New Year, the Safeguarding Directorate plans to extend this programme further and provide many more opportunities for the disabled within our community. The aim is for everyone to have the same life chances, regardless of disability.”
