OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS
The Chevening Secretariat is currently accepting applications for 2017/18 Chevening Scholarships via www.chevening.org/apply until Tuesday, 8 November 2016.
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers financial support to study for a Master’s Degree at any UK university and the opportunity to become part of an influential global network of 46,000 alumni.
St Helena Chevening Officer, Sandra Sim, said:
“The Chevening Scholarship programme is an amazing opportunity for scholars in the Territory to further develop academically, professionally and personally. I would encourage any ambitious forward-thinking individual, who meets the Chevening criteria, to apply for the Scholarship and take their learning to the next level.”
A Chevening stall will be held in front of the Canister this Thursday, 18 August 2016, from 11am to 1pm for those who might be interested in applying for a scholarship. There will be information packs available containing details on eligibility and other requirements. It is hoped that as many people as possible will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Chevening Scholarships and possibly apply or encourage others to apply.

There are more than 1,500 Chevening Scholarships on offer globally for the 2017/18 academic cycle. These scholarships represent a significant investment from the UK Government to develop the next cohort of global leaders.
