At approximately 11.30pm on Saturday, 31 October 2015, the St Helena Police Service was conducting a road safety check at Ladder Hill (near the CCC) when a vehicle was stopped as it was believed to be travelling at an excessive speed. The driver was a man aged 19 years from Pounceys, St Paul’s.
The driver subsequently provided a positive breath test, was arrested, and then provided an evidential sample which was over the prescribed limit. This man has been charged with Driving over the Prescribed Limit and will appear at St Helena Magistrates Court on Thursday 19 November 2015.
