Executive Council met today, Tuesday 1 December 2015, with two items on the Open Agenda.

Acting Governor Sean Burns welcomed to the meeting Councillor Gavin Ellick, who temporarily joins ExCo in the absence of Councillor Lawson Henry on overseas business. The Chief Planning Officer was also in attendance to provide guidance on planning applications.

The first item for discussion was to consider an application to discharge a planning condition in relation to access to the Shears Jetty and Rupert’s Wharf.  Executive Council felt that further discussions were necessary and this item was therefore deferred until the next meeting.

Secondly, Executive Council approved an application for development permission to erect a 15m high spire for St James’ Church, subject to various detailed conditions.

The meeting concluded at 11.25am.
