BOAT OWNERS ASKED TO KEEP THEIR BOATS CLEAR OF RUPERT’S JETTY
The following is a Public Announcement from Port Control:
Boat owners are asked to keep their boats clear of the Rupert’s Jetty area from 4pm onwards tomorrow, Wednesday 6 November 2019, in preparation for the Festival of Running’s Triathlon event taking place at 5pm.
Prior to the event start, and during the time that competitors will be in the water at Rupert’s, all unauthorised vessels will need to remain clear of the area in the interest of health and safety.
Once all swimmers are out of the water, and the swimming phase of the event is complete, the area will reopen to boat owners.
Port Control thanks the maritime public for their cooperation and wishes competitors the best of luck for tomorrow’s event.
