The Rock Guards who carry out regular rock stability inspections have expressed concerns about a section of rock in the Upper Jamestown area.
Meetings have taken place with the appropriate government representatives and SHG has been in touch with the organisation’s contracted Geo Tech experts in the UK.
A Geo Tech consultant is arriving on-Island this Saturday to survey the identified area and provide advice to SHG.
The initial assessments have indicated that there is no imminent risk of a rock fall.
The results of the Geo Tech survey will determine what, if any, steps should be taken.
The public will be updated as and when further information becomes available.
