St Helena Police are currently investigating the theft of potatoes from the Ex-ADA Fields in Longwood. Police are appealing to the public for information regarding any vehicle that was seen in the vicinity of the Ex-ADA Fields between Wednesday, 1 August, and Thursday, 2 August 2018. This vehicle would have been a small one, most likely a car.
Police are also asking anyone who might have seen a person or persons who would not normally travel on the Ex-ADA Fields road or who might have seen anyone acting suspicious in this area to please contact Police on tel: 22626 or call the confidential crime line on: 22888.
If a member of the public has been approached by a person or persons offering to sell potatoes, either on or after the dates above, who would not normally sell vegetables or who you know does not own a garden, then please contact the Police via the above details.
