New Learning & Development Sergeant, Mark Coombe, recently arrived on-Island with his wife Carol, to take up his post within the St Helena Police Service.
Mark’s role is to develop and deliver a sustainable training schedule for new and established officers. He will be delivering training that will enhance the positive interaction between the public and Police. One of his first tasks is to provide a seven week Initial Police Training course for new recruits.
Mark said:
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to contribute in some small way to the future of Policing on the Island and I look forward to carrying out my role.”
Mark has 30 years of experience in Policing and was previously the Chief Firearms Instructor for a Tri-Force. He has over 15 years training experience and has also acted in an advisory role to the Royal Falkland Islands Police.
