The St Helena Post Office would like to advise of the following approximate postal times for mail to the United Kingdom, including other destinations, via South Africa and Ascension Island:
POST VIA SOUTH AFRICA
Surface mail to the UK, including other destinations, takes approximately 13-15 weeks.
Airmail to the UK, including other destinations, takes approximately 6-8 weeks.
POST VIA ASCENSION ISLAND
Airmail to the UK, including other destinations, takes approximately 2-3 weeks.
It should be noted that the approximate postal times via South Africa are from the date of departure of the MV Helena from the Island. The approximate postal time via Ascension is from the departure date of either the MV Helena or the Airlink flight from St Helena.
