DONKEY PLAIN
Waste Management Services (WMS) have continued their Landscape Bulky Waste Programme, remediating and improving the landscape of historical bulky waste in the Donkey Plain area for all to enjoy.
Environmental Risk Manager, Mike Durnford, said:
“This was a significant undertaking due to the type and volume of bulky waste dumped in the area including several end-of-life vehicles and household waste. Along with staff from WMS, I would also like to thank Denzel Yon (Government Garage), Michael Benjamin (Roads Section) and Rudi McDaniel (McDaniel’s Complex) for their assistance with this task.
“WMS are committed to working with customers for a cleaner and greener St Helena and as such, will undertake further projects to remediate landscapes previously impacted by bulky waste.”
The public is reminded to please dispose of their waste appropriately at Horse Point Landfill Site, which is currently open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
