The Education & Employment Directorate has launched its Training Needs Assessment Survey 2017 to update information on the training needs of organisations on St Helena.
This survey aims to update the training needs of private sector companies and the public sector on an organisational level both for the forthcoming academic year and future years. The results of the survey will be used to inform the formulation of the training plan for the St Helena Community College and to further the development of training provision going forward.
Assistant Director, Lifelong Learning, Kerry Yon, said:
“We are asking organisations to assist us in defining the training needs on St Helena by completing this survey.
“Similarly to the last academic year, employers completing the survey are asked to give an estimate of the numbers of employees requiring training in various fields and to let us know if they are able to assist in the development of our training offer. The information collated will assist us in focusing our resources and helping to reduce skills gaps on-Island to assist in meeting the actual training needs on St Helena.”
The Training Needs Assessment survey can be completed electronically via the St Helena Government website at: https://www.sainthelena.gov.sh/education-and-employment/ or you can link to it directly at: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/shcc2017tna
Hard copies of the survey are also available from the Public Library. All forms whether electronically or paper-based must be completed by Monday, 22 May 2017.
