ST HELENA POLICE DIRECTORATE LAUNCHES FACEBOOK PAGE

The St Helena Police Directorate have recently launched an official Facebook page with the aim to keep the public informed of the work of the Police Directorate, further promote safety campaigns, and release urgent announcements.

Chief of Police, David Lynch, said:

“The importance of the St Helena Police Directorate being on Facebook is that it allows the whole Directorate – from Sea Rescue, the Fire & Rescue Service, Immigration, Vehicle Licencing and the Police Service – to talk directly with residents. Facebook allows us to tell everyone what we are doing, to ask for their support in managing issues and to work with others to make the Island altogether safer.”

So far, the page has generated 127 likes and has been followed 133 times. The page can be viewed and ‘liked’ here: https://www.facebook.com/sthelenapolice/.
