Technical staff are continuing to investigate the problem with the RMS’ starboard propeller – at this time they are unable to provide any conclusive diagnosis. Investigations are ongoing but early indications are that the problem appears to be more serious than initially thought.
It is likely that the RMS St Helena will have to remain in Cape Town over the weekend.
The St Helena Resilience Forum Strategic Group met today and will continue to monitor the situation over the weekend.
The Resilience Forum have reinstated the support email address and persons wishing to find out more information on future travel are invited to make contact via: rmsdelay@sainthelena.gov.sh
