The RMS St Helena’s departure from the dry dock in Simonstown has unfortunately been slightly delayed. This delay is no fault of the vessel or the contractors.
The Pilot has advised that he is not able to take the ship out of the dry dock this afternoon as scheduled, therefore the RMS will leave the dry dock tomorrow, Wednesday 3 May 2017, and sail for Cape Town.
Passengers will embark as normal on Thursday, 4 May. It is likely there will be a slight delay to the sailing time of the RMS from Cape Town but this can be recovered later on in the schedule.
