Due to adverse weather conditions, the arrival of the next scheduled fuel shipment to replenish the Island’s fuel stocks is delayed. To ensure adequate levels of fuel stocks on the Island, the Bulk Fuel Installation Managers, Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc, in consultation with St Helena Government has chartered the MV Greta to deliver diesel fuel to St Helena.
The vessel departed Walvis Bay this morning and is scheduled to arrive at St Helena on Monday, 27 March 2017, at 5pm, weather permitting. Every effort is being made to maintain her estimated arrival at St Helena.
The Jo Alm is expected to arrive at St Helena on Wednesday, 29 March 2017, at 2pm, with the Island’s normal fuel shipment.
Further details will be announced shortly regarding restrictions in Rupert’s during fuel offloading operations.
