SHG is pleased to announce the five candidates – Donna Harris, Nicole Hercules, Nikita Crowie, Belinda Piek and Sasha Bargo – who have successfully passed the assessment process and have been accepted onto the Future Leaders Programme (photo attached).
Candidate, Donna Harris, said:
“We are the first to be enrolled in this programme, so it’s up to us to be good ambassadors. Not only does government have a responsibility to get this right for other future leaders, but we also have to get it right and give 100% to make sure that we succeed.”
Candidate, Nikita Crowie, added:
“This is an ideal opportunity for me to get experience in other areas of government that my current job ordinarily wouldn’t allow me to.”
This programme, which targeted middle managers or those on Grades ‘C’ and ‘D’, was designed to develop a pool of ambitious, career minded people to fast-track into future leadership positions. The programme will target different cohorts over a period of time.
Staff enrolled in the programme will develop their career and aspire to lead and positively influence the output of St Helena Government.
Senior HR Officer, Bronwen Yon, who co-ordinated and facilitated the first phase of the Future Leaders Programme, said:
“Congratulations are extended to all five candidates. The next phase of the programme will require hard work, determination and commitment and I am sure all of the candidates will rise to the challenge and take advantage of this brilliant opportunity.”
