Head of Accounting Services Nicholas Yon and Financial Accountant Connie Stevens (pictured) will take up their new promotions in the finance branch of St Helena Government from 10 July 2016.
Nicholas becomes the new Assistant Financial Secretary, taking over from predecessor Dax Richards, while Connie Stevens is promoted to Head of Accounting to succeed Nicholas.
Financial Secretary Colin Owen said:
“I have worked with Nicholas and Connie for nearly six years, starting in the Saint Helena Audit Service and then in Corporate Finance. During this time both of them have worked extremely hard to become Chartered Accountants with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. This shows the dedication and commitment they have applied to their professional careers.”
“That commitment has paid off and both of them thoroughly deserve these promotions into their new roles. My message to them – ‘I am very proud to have worked with you during my time on St Helena and to see you both develop – I wish you both the very best and I am positive that you will give everything to and succeed in your new roles’.”
