AUGUST – WELLNESS MONTH
This month we look at the positive elements of wellness so you can take control of your health.
Integrative Wellness
Your physical and emotional mental health is closely connected. Taking care of your body helps keep your mind healthy, and vice versa.
Mental Wellness
Mental and emotional wellbeing is essential at any age. Increase your ability to cope with stress, better understand its mental and physical effects, and develop skills to minimise its impact on your health.
Nutrition
Consuming a variety of nutritious foods and beverages keeps you performing and looking your best, whether you are 8, 18, or 80.
Physical Activity
Get moving to look and feel your best! Engaging in regular physical activity is one of the most important things you and your family can do to maintain and improve your health.
Sleep
Getting sufficient rest each night ensures optimal mental performance and can help alleviate stress. Sleep also physically restores your body and strengthens your immune system against illness and disease.
Tobacco-free Living
Tobacco-free living is avoiding use of all types of tobacco products, and also living free from secondhand smoke exposure.
