PUBLIC ACCESS TO MOLE SPIDER HILL

LIDAR EQUIPMENT

To further understand the meteorological factors affecting aircraft arriving and departing St Helena Airport, the Light Detection & Ranging equipment (LiDAR) will be carefully placed on Mole Spider Hill from Thursday 17 November 2016 until mid-December.

This equipment will continue to gather important information on the weather and wind patterns experienced at the Airport.

Given the importance of leaving the LiDAR equipment undisturbed, and to continue to protect the sensitive habitat of the Mole Spider, the public is advised that Mole Spider Hill is out of bounds until further notice.

The public is thanked in advance for its consideration and cooperation.
