The Operations are responsible for police patrols, community policing, managing and policing events.

Officers work with partners and other agencies on the Island to deal with problems and issues that concern our communities as well as providing the emergency response to incidents across the Island.

The Operations Team deal with road traffic collisions and support crime investigations through the provision of crime scene investigators.

A support officer working within the Operations Team manages firearms licencing, working with certificate holders to ensure the safety of firearms on the Island.

A dedicated schools liaison and youth engagement officer works with the Education Directorate to deliver sessions to the children and young people on the Island. Special Constables support the policing operation on the Island, providing valuable resilience for policing events and the night time economy on the Island.

The Operations team is led by a Chief Inspector and consists of an Inspector, six Sergeants, sixteen constables, a support officer, three controllers and a number of special constables.
