Statistical Bulletin on Minimum Income Standard Released

The St Helena Government Statistics Office has today released a Statistical Bulletin containing details of the Minimum Income Standard (MIS), which forms the basis for the six-monthly review by Executive Council of the levels of Income Related Benefits and the Basic Island Pension.

The Bulletin contains a table showing all previous values of the MIS since 2013; the latest value of the MIS is £91.51 per week for an adult, or £71.51 excluding housing rent. The MIS is based on the price of a weekly basket of goods and services, and the details of the basket are also included in the Bulletin.

The full Statistical Bulletin can be found on the St Helena Government website here.
