The container ship carrying transhipment containers for St Helena has been delayed due to bad weather.
The earliest date the vessel can berth in Cape Town is on Friday, 29 December 2017. The containers for St Helena will not be off-loaded before 2 January 2018.
Due to the impact a five day delay will have on the RMS’ onward schedule, the decision has been taken for the RMS to sail as scheduled on 29 December without the transhipment containers for this voyage.
The transhipment containers will be picked up by the RMS on her next call to Cape Town on V268 departing on Wednesday, 24 January 2018, and arriving at St Helena on Monday, 29 January 2018.
