St Helena Government notes with disappointment the announcement by the Board of South Atlantic Media Services (SAMS) that SAMS intend to cease trading at the end of March 2017.
SHG will now consider the options available and will examine the reasons why SAMS feel unable to trade beyond the end of the current financial year. The assets of SAMS will be protected for potential future use.
The media review, which has been in train since late 2015, has been undertaken with the full knowledge and involvement of all media outlets on the Island. This review will be published shortly.
