The Health Directorate wishes to advise the public that there will be a complete power outage at the Hospital on Saturday 13 February 2016. This is to enable changeover to new electrical circuits and will commence early on Saturday morning.
There will be no mains power or hard-wired backup generator available. Limited power will be supplied by portable generators to essential equipment only. During this time the IT system will also be unavailable and clinical staff will not be able to access the electronic patient records.
The Health Directorate therefore asks the public not to present to the Hospital on Saturday 13 February – unless in the case of an emergency.
Power to the Hospital will likely be restored in the late afternoon of Saturday.
