St Helena Police Service was at 11.30hrs this morning (13 July 2016) notified by fishing vessel MFV Amalia of an incident which is believed to have led to the death of a crew member.
The vessel is now retuning to St Helena from its fishing voyage and the circumstances of this tragic death will be investigated by the Police and the Coroner. The MVF Amalia departed St Helena with a crew of seven.
At this stage, the Police and the family ask the public to respect the privacy of family members.
