A temporary Master for the RMS St Helena, Captain Peter Stapleton, has been appointed to temporarily cover for Captain Andrew Greentree, who was unable to rejoin the RMS in Cape Town today due to medical leave.
Captain Stapleton will take up his duties in Cape Town today, 30 September 2015, until Captain Greentree is able to return to duty.
Captain Stapleton is a very experienced Master, having served as Captain of various vessels worldwide over the last 25 years with Andrew Weir Shipping. Most recently, he has worked as a Master with Foreland Shipping, visiting Ascension Island frequently on the MOD Strategic Sealift Command vessels.
Captain Stapleton is very much looking forward to his duties on the RMS and to visiting St Helena.
