There will be limited access to the lower Wharf for all private vehicles on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2015, between 8.30am and 4pm. This is due to the St Helena Government Garage undertaking necessary work, including testing lifting capacity, on the two cranes.
The public is reminded that during this period the space from Thompsons Crane Steps to the Cargo Shed – including all of the yellow lined area adjacent to the sea rescue boat ‘Lima’ – must be kept clear at all times. This ensures that in an emergency, the sea rescue boats (currently operating from Jamestown Wharf) can be launched without delay.
