Executive Council met today, Tuesday 22 December 2015, to discuss the following business.
Executive Council was asked to consider making an order for duty-free diesel to be continued for all commercial fishermen for the operation of their fishing vessels until 31 March 2017. ExCo was further asked to extend duty-free diesel for the running of the fisheries processing plant in Rupert’s, run by St Helena Fisheries Corporation, from 1 January 2016 until 31 March 2017. Executive Council recognises the importance of the local fishing industry and gave approval to the order.
