PUBLIC INFORMATION- PRESENTATION OF PETITION ON PROPOSED INCREASE IN UTILITIES TARIFFS

The public is advised that the St Helena Police will be managing traffic during the protest march through Jamestown tomorrow, Saturday 30 June 2018. While Market Street, Main Street and the Grand Parade will remain open during the march from Pilling Primary School at 12noon, Police will be on hand to divert and stop traffic as appropriate.

The petition will be received by Paul Hickling on behalf of the Utilities Regulatory Authority. The acceptance of the petition will take place in the Governor’s Office at the Castle. Her Excellency Governor Lisa Honan will be available between 12.30pm and 1pm to witness the presentation and Mr Hickling to accept the petition.

As a record of the event a press release will be issued once the petition has been received.

The Utilities Regulatory Authority is an independent body of both St Helena Government and Connect Saint Helena ltd and the Governor’s attendance tomorrow is no more than as a witness. Neither the Governor nor SHG can influence the Authority’s decision.
