During the excavation of the embankment at Maldivia in Upper Jamestown, some fragmented bones were uncovered. Whilst these appear to be human remains, St Helena Government is awaiting advice from the relevant persons to make a proper identification.
The Contractor has been instructed to cease works until next steps are established.
