Marco Yon Passes Business Continuity Course With UK Emergency Planning College

Deputy Emergency Planning Manager, Marco Yon, has recently returned to the Island having participated in and Passed with Merit a Business Continuity course with the UK Emergency Planning College.

Business Continuity is an organisation’s capacity to continue to deliver its products or services at acceptable standards following a disruptive incident.

The Course is run by international organisation and world leader in Business Continuity matters, the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). The course was instructor led and is based on the BCI Good Practice Guidelines 2018 Edition with a two hour examination on the final day.

Having passed the course Marco has also been awarded the certified membership grade of Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI).

For further development in this field, Marco will carry out live Business Continuity projects within SHG and submit this work to the BCI for assessment and audit.

Marco commented:

“This training has provided me with a platform from which to contribute to Business Continuity work within SHG and I am looking forward to utilising the knowledge gained to help to implement a Business Continuity Management System which will enhance resilience in SHG’s products and its services.”
