The St Helena Community College (SHCC) is pleased to announce that they will soon be adding Maritime courses to the wide range of training opportunities on offer at the College.
The online Maritime courses are being offered through, and certified by, the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) with the first courses expected to be available from October this year.
SHCC’s Acting Student Services Co-Ordinator, Cherilee Thomas-Johnson, said:
“There has been a gap in Maritime training on St Helena for quite some time now, so we are extremely pleased that our College is able to provide opportunities for those persons with a keen interest to develop within this field.
“The SHCC is committed to fulfilling the training needs of the Island and is proud to add Maritime courses to our Prospectus for the year 2018/2019.”
Courses that will soon be on offer include:

The RYA is an internationally recognised boating association whose training schemes steer 250,000 yacht sailors, power boaters, small craft leisure boaters, windsurfers, and canal boaters towards confident and successful boating every year.
