The Private Secretary will contribute to the island's prosperity by offering direct, high-quality assistance

to the Chief Minister, allowing them to fulfil their demanding responsibilities both efficiently and effectively.

The Private Secretary will serve as a reliable source of advice for the Chief Minister, delivering a highlevel

administrative and advisory support service. This position necessitates the ability to manage multiple

tasks and adhere to strict deadlines while coordinating and prioritizing Ministerial duties. The individual

in this role will be adept at navigating the political landscape and will leverage connections throughout St

Helena Government (SHG).

They will serve as the initial point of contact for the Chief Minister, addressing inquiries and requests from

various sources, while remaining available and accessible to staff who assist Ministers in handling urgent

issues that necessitate prompt decisions.
