Communications Hub
The Communications Hub coordinates and supports communications and marketing activities across the St Helena Government (SHG).
Working as a single, coordinated team, the Communications Hub brings together press and public relations, digital media, external and internal communications, and marketing which includes destination marketing, brand management, and digital marketing.
Together, these functions help SHG communicate in a way that is clear, consistent, timely and accessible. This keeps the public, stakeholders, the diaspora, and employees informed, and promotes St Helena as a place to live, learn, work, visit and invest.
The Communications Hub also supports communication around tourism, investment and other opportunities that contribute to St Helena’s social, cultural and economic development.
Strategic Focus
Our work is guided by a clear strategic focus. This includes:
- Promoting St Helena as a distinctive and desirable place to live, learn, work, visit and invest
- Supporting clear, consistent and accessible communication across SHG, and with the public, stakeholders, the diaspora and SHG employees
- Strengthening engagement with, and consistent use of, the destination and corporate brands
We are also committed to listening and responding to public sentiment, so that our communications remain relevant, trusted, and aligned with the needs of our community.
How We Deliver
The Communications Hub uses a mix of digital and traditional media to share information in ways that are accessible, timely and engaging. Through these channels, we work to:
- Inform, engage, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support a culture of openness, transparency, and improved communication across SHG
- Promote St Helena’s unique identity, values and opportunities to local, and international audiences
