The Adults Support Team is based at Ladder Hill Business Park. They can be contacted on Tel: 22920.

The Adults Support Team comprises:

  • Team Manager
  • Senior Social Worker
  • Social Care Officers

The team is responsible for assessing and providing assistance, where possible, to vulnerable adults to help them remain safe while living in the community. An adult may be considered vulnerable due to mental or physical disability, frailty, or illness. The team’s Threshold Document for involvement of services can be viewed for reference.

The Adults Support Team works closely with other agencies and provides a wide range of services, including:

  • Assessments of care and support needs
  • Carer’s assessments and allowance
  • Home Support
  • Welfare Assistance
  • Better Living Allowance
  • Respite care
  • Assessments for residential and supported living services

Referrals

If you feel that you, or an adult close to you, is in need of support, you can make a referral to the Adults Social Care Team for an assessment.

Once the referral form has been completed, please email it to: adult.services@sainthelena.gov.sh.
