HM Customs would like to remind on-Island freight agents and merchants dealing directly with Airlink that air freight arriving on the scheduled Airlink flights will be issued from the Airport each Saturday.
Agents receiving air freight are advised to obtain their Waybill from the Airlink Office at the Airport on flight days before collecting their air freight. The Airlink Office can be contacted on tel: 25350.
Airfreight collection times may vary depending on operations, however it is anticipated that cargo release times will be approximately between 2pm and 3.30pm. If air freight is not collected during the allocated time, then other arrangements will need to be made with HM Customs.
Members of the public can collect their air freight from HM Customs at the Wharf in Jamestown, unless otherwise advised by their on-Island freight agents.

A formal session of the St Helena Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will take place at 9.30am in the Council Chamber on Wednesday, 3 August 2022.
The programme of business will focus on the following:
- Saint Helena National Trust Annual Report & Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2020 and 31 March 2021
- Equality & Human Rights Commission Annual Report & Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2020 and 31 March 2021
Members of the public and interested persons are invited to attend.
The meeting will be broadcast live via SAMS Radio 1.

The public is advised that the Immigration Section of the Safety, Security & Home Affairs Portfolio will close for business between 8am and 1pm tomorrow, Thursday 28 July 2022. This closure is to allow staff to undertake training.

The Health Services Directorate would like to inform the public that COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held at various locations on Monday, 1, and Tuesday, 2 August 2022.
The clinics are for any eligible persons aged 18 + years who would like to receive a first, second, or the first booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Second booster doses will only be administered to persons aged 40+ years who have received their first booster dose prior to and including January 2022.
A flu vaccination will also be offered at the clinic to persons aged 50 + years.

The Island’s three Primary Schools – Harford, Pilling and St Pauls – will soon be hosting their annual Open Days.
During the following times, the Schools will be open to parents, guardians and the general public:

The Health Services Directorate would like to inform the public that there will be a COVID-19 vaccination clinic held at the Kingshurst, Community Centre on Tuesday, 26, July 2022 from 9am to 1pm only.
The clinic is for any eligible persons (18+ years) who would like to receive a first or second primary dose, or a first booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Second booster doses will only be administered to eligible persons aged 50 + years who have received their first booster dose prior to and including January 2022.
A flu vaccination will also be offered at the clinic to persons aged 60 + years only.
The clinic will be operated on a walk-in basis therefore there is no need to register your name.
Clinics for the next defined age group will be communicated in due course, your cooperation is appreciated during this time.

St Helena Police are appealing for information in relation to a burglary that occurred at a dwelling in Cow Path, Half Tree Hollow, whereby a JBL speaker (boom box) was stolen. The incident occurred between 6pm on Saturday, 25 June, and 11am on Sunday, 26 June 2022.
Police are keen to speak to anyone with information, regardless of how minor they consider it to be. Information can be provided to Police Sergeant, Stephen Oliphant, at Police Headquarters on tel: 22626, quoting incident report number: HECT00002345. Any information provided to Police will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
St Helena Police commented:
“With the close knit community we live within, people see when you leave home which therefore unfortunately creates an opportunity for persons to access your property. If possible, you could install security lighting and CCTV or let a trusted neighbour know you’re away from home.”

The public is advised that the road, from Spring Gut junction to Rosemary Plain, will be closed between 9am and 3pm every Wednesday for a period of five weeks, commencing Wednesday, 27 July 2022.
This closure is to allow the Forestry Section of the Agriculture & Natural Resources Division to harvest firewood.
During these closures, the diversion route will be via Farm Buildings Road. Appropriate signage will be in place.
The Forestry Section would like to thank the public in advance for their cooperation.

St Helena Police are appealing for information in relation to a burglary that occurred at a dwelling in Ropery Field, Longwood, whereby smoke damage was caused to the inside of the dwelling and a black and orange ‘Edge’ amplifier, pale grey ‘JBL’ speaker, black music mixer, and four small black ‘Sony’ speakers were stolen. The incident occurred between 8pm on Thursday, 14 July, and 9am on Friday, 15 July 2022.
Police are keen to speak to anyone with information, regardless of how minor they consider it to be. Information can be provided to Detective Constables, Lisa Winterburn or Richard Crowther, at Police Headquarters on tel: 22626, quoting incident report number: HECT00002367. The Education, Skills & Employment Portfolio conducted a survey in April 2022 to review the opening hours of the Public Library Service.
Taking into consideration the feedback received from the survey, the Public Library Service will alter their opening hours on a trial basis with effect from Monday, 1 August, and until Saturday, 1 October 2022.
The Public Library Services’ revised opening hours for this trial period will be as follows:

| Wednesdays | 9.30am – 1.30pm |
| Fridays | 9.30am – 1.30pm 2pm – 6pm |
| Saturdays | 10am – 1pm |
