POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION

THEFT IN MUSEUM PUBLIC TOILETS

On Saturday, 9 March 2019, it was reported to St Helena Police that a theft had occurred at the public toilets opposite the Museum in Jamestown. The ball-cock and associated fittings had been removed from a cistern in the Gents Toilets causing the water to continuously fill the tank.

It is not known when this was removed, but given the use of the toilets and the fact that this was very noticeable, it is likely that the theft occurred late on the Friday evening or early that Saturday morning.

Police are appealing for any information that any member of the public may be able to supply in relation to this theft. If anyone has any information which may assist with this investigation, regardless of how minor it may seem, please contact Coleman House Police Headquarters on tel: 22626 or email: cid@sainthelena.gov.sh.

These public toilets are provided as a benefit to the community as a whole and, as such, the Police would encourage all members of the community to report suspicious circumstances in relation to these or any other public conveniences.
