VALUABLE DONATION TO PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Public Library has recently received a valuable Videomatic Eco machine (pictured) from an anonymous donor – to provide customers suffering with visual impairment the opportunity to read and enjoy material in large print.

So the Videomatic Eco machine uses video magnifiers to help users with visual impairment independently navigate text and pictures in newspapers, magazines, personal letters and all kinds of books – with the overall goal to improving an individual’s enjoyment of text and quality of life.

 Librarian, Jill Young said:

“We are always aiming to improve our services at the Library and making it accessible to all users.  This donation is greatly appreciated and will help us to achieve our goal.”
