ST HELENA WATER POSTER COMPETITION

PRIZES PRESENTED

CEO of Connect Saint Helena Ltd, Barry Hubbard, this week visited the three Primary Schools on St Helena to present certificates and prizes to the pupils who submitted winning posters in the recent Saving Water poster competition.

Barry said:

“The theme for the poster competition was ‘How do you Save Water?’. It was great to see what the children were doing to conserve the little water we had at the time. There was an interesting comment from one of the schools – that the moment they started making their posters it started raining and has only just stopped. Maybe if we are short of water again we need to commission a poster competition earlier and see if that prompts the rain!

“In total there were over 100 entries. Judging proved difficult because of the high standard of submissions, but we hope that the winners like their certificates and prize money and of course, that everyone who participated had fun making their posters.”

Thanks are extended to everyone who participated in the competition and a big ‘Well Done’ to all who won prizes.
