Repair work is now in its final stages on the RMS St Helena in the dock in Simonstown.
Partial flooding of the dock is taking place this afternoon, Wednesday 12 April 2017. This will enable the ship’s seals to be tested for leaks tonight. If everything goes to plan, the RMS will depart for Cape Town tomorrow morning, Thursday 13 April, arriving in Cape Town in the afternoon.
Cargo operations will commence immediately and passengers will embark as normal on Friday, 14 April. The vessel will depart for St Helena on completion of cargo operations on Friday evening or Saturday morning.
