 The island operates a small general hospital which accommodates approximately 32 beds with a number of outpatient clinics both in Jamestown and the outlying districts. There is one residential care home for the elderly which can accommodate up to 44 residents.

Health and Social Welfare are important factors to St Helena’s well being and the island strives to provide and maintain high standards of health and social care for all of its inhabitants.
