Exemption from the Requirement for an Entry Permit & Permission to Work

An Exemption from the Requirement for an Entry Permit & Permission to Work is required for persons in employment with a contractor providing goods or services to the St. Helena Government (the Crown) and is valid until the end of the contract.

A letter to confirm the exemption may be granted to a person who:

• has from the contracting organisation a Declaration for Exemption from the Requirement for an Entry Permit & Permission to Work

• has a satisfactory police vetting certificate for country of residence

• is able to produce any other supporting evidence as requested.

How to Apply

1. The employer should submit a Declaration for Exemption from the Requirement for an Entry Permit & Permission to Work, a police vetting certificate, a copy of the employee's passport biodata page of the employee and supporting evidence via email to the Immigration Office at immigration2@police.gov.sh

2. This should be done before the employee arrives.
