REVISED FUEL PRICES

30 August 2012

Wholesale prices from the Bulk Fuel Installation (BFI) have been revised following the last tanker delivery on 15 August 2012. This is in accordance with the pricing policy approved by Executive Council in June 2010.

This decrease in the price of fuel was due to the dollar pound exchange rate having a positive impact on the price of fuel and a large shipment being made which reduced the cost per litre.

Solomons implemented the revised retail prices from 25 August 2012. The revised pump prices are £1.19 per litre for diesel (a decrease of six pence) and £1.48 per litre for petrol (a decrease of four pence).

The breakdown of the retail price is as follows:

 breakdown - dieselbreakdown - petrol

Fuel prices will be reviewed again following the next tanker delivery, which is expected to be in November 2012.
