NEXT DEVELOPMENT AID PLANNING MISSION (DAPM)
30 August 2012
A team from the Department for International Development (DFID) will be on-Island from 13-21 November 2012, to carry out the next Development Aid Planning Mission (DAPM) for St Helena. This annual process, which will build on the three year planning cycle agreed at the DAPM in February 2012, will come slightly earlier than in previous years. DFID and SHG agree that holding DAPM in financial Quarter 3, rather than Quarter 4, will be altogether more useful and more manageable.
This change will allow more detailed discussions of key issues to come earlier in SHG’s strategic planning and budgeting cycle. After focusing on priorities at DAPM, the budget settlement will be finalised as usual, in the last Quarter of the financial year. Underlying all of this is the transformation process taking place on our Island ahead of air access, and the need to get our priorities and choices right in these critical years.
More information on the DAPM visit will be provided in due course.
